The one-hour it takes to metabolize alcohol presents the interesting idea of converting this champagne flute into an hourglass. The timer is symbolized by a gentle glow emanating from the center... the glow grows dimmer as the hour passes and the alcohol fades from your system. Remove the plug/base from the bottom, turn the glass over and pour another drink to start the timer again.
