Today Tritton Technologies is announcing their AXPC headphones for PC. These headphones are USB powered and promise to deliver true 5.1 audio via one single USB connection. A removable mic works for online gaming and VOIP as well.
Each ear cup uses four speakers for center, front, rear and subwoofer along with an integrated in-line audio control with volume adjustments for the individual channels. A master volume and a mic mute switch are also included.
Software is included that allows you to simulate 2.1 to 7.1 surround sound from audio recorded in stereo only. In addition to the four speakers in each ear cup rumble technology is used which vibrates in time to sounds in games.

You can also select from 23 different EQ settings to customize the listening experience to your liking. Surround sound headphones are a great way to gain an edge in online games by allowing you to hear what is going on behind you.
